why can't I View images using firefox even after trying all known articles?
Videos work great, but on youtube or bing or google photos I cannot see thumbnails or my pictures, no matter what version of firefox or Windows 10 I'm using, even on two different pc's with windows 10. also, cannot see text on any drop down menu, text box is always blank when mouse hovers & menu box appears, but no text

Make sure you are not blocking content.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}
Hi there! Thank you for your promt reply. I've tried safe mode, refresh, about:config, etc. I've never been able to read text in a drop down menu when mouse hovers over an object nor can I view my pics on google photos, this has been since windows 10 v1607 thru v1909 I'm currently using on both my desktop pc's! Somebody else has got to be having this same issue. I have also searched firefox support for days for answers. I thought it was adobe flash & others, nothing so far. Thanks again! I would love to use firefox as default browser, but cannot.
Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

Hi Again! I'm in safe mode with networking now & I have a screen shot of my photo's at photos.google.com. Also, on firefox home page, same thing, cannot see text in drop down menu when hover over icon, etc. Nor can I read text on any icon, including this browser's icons on tool bar, have to click on them to find out what they are, crazy! Again, I appreciate your help!
Sounds that you may have black text on a black background.
What Windows theme do you use? Dies it make a difference if you select another theme ?
