In my POP3 I had an Archive folder and also had some personal folders such as House Purchase but these folders are now missing. I store my emails on a removable drive and have looked in the folder where the emails are stored and there are no files or folders with names corresponding to the missing folders. I have also looked in the Thunderbird profile folder on the local drive but here also there is no trace of the files. Is there any way these files can be recovered?

Fortunately I have found a backup so can restore most of the missing files. Thanks for your reply.

Do you have any kind of backup of the profile folder? If you do, the missing folders can probably be copied into your current profile.

By backing up the Thunderbird folder, all data and settings are copied, and all or some parts can be restored.
