When I click on "Empty Junk" in an email account that has messages in the Junk folder, TB will display that it is deleting a number on the status bar at the bottom of the TB window. Most of the time it displays the correct number of messages, but occasionally it displays that it is deleting twice that number. I am running TB 68.4.2 on a W10 desktop.

Try this: Right click on 'Junk' folder and select 'Compact'. This fully removes all the deleted emails from the mbox file and resets the index file. It cleans up the mbox file and reduces it's size.
