Windows 10 Normally, Thunderbird starts, then asks for a password to connect to my email server

Today Thunderbird opens, and the spinning icon left of the Inbox never stops.

My email server is up and working because my phone is able to connect and receive send email.

Wondering if profiles or such may be corrupted. I have an IMAP server, so I could remove Thunderbird, and remove all residue of Thunderbird and re-install. Any ideas? Bret

using ESET? That has had issues that can be described as you have in the past few weeks. See https://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com/2020/12/eset-stopped-me-getting-mail.html

I removed Thunderbird and deleted all profiles as described below. Had to reconfigure, but...Thunderbird is working again

1. Browse to C:\Users\bret\AppData\Roaming 2. Deleted Thunderbird folder

Reinstalled
