It won't open any website...even the refresh isn't highlighted when I manually type in a web address. I get this popup error when I reinstalled....after it wouldn't work. Yesterday I had no problem, I didn't even turn off my computer overnight I just put it in sleep like I did the day before and like I always do...I don't always put in sleep most of the time I run off my computer when I go to sleep.

Chosen solution

Did you see any error messages when launching Firefox, such as "VCRUNTIME140_1.DLL is not found"? In that case, I would install both 32-bit and 64-bit "Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019" downloads, (x86: vc_redist.x86.exe and x64: vc_redist.x64.exe) from https://support.microsoft.com/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

I checked before I wrote this complaint and I saw them in the list, didn't make note of the dates though, your solution did work. this was a fresh install for a computer I did 2 days ago, it worked fine last night before I put it in sleep mode and went to bed. This morning I took it out of sleep mode and firefox wouldn't work at all. Your solution did work, thank you. How odd I wonder what happened overnight, did the files somehow get corrupted? I did try to install some mods to Ghost Recon Warfighter 2, that worked fine on my older computer I just replaced...I wonder if that did something. I'll do some more digging into how it might have happened and get back....again thanks
