Thunderbird 91.4.0 64 bit - change background colors
I am on windows 10 an need to alter the back ground colors of the various panes in Thunderbird, folder pane etc
I am visually impaired so the glaring white background has to go
I have read various posts about changing a usrerChrome.css file.. file is stored here
D:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\chrome
The lines I am using are
/* Background color CSS for mail list */ treechildren::-moz-tree-row(odd) {
border: 1px solid transparent !important; background-color: #FFFF99 !important; min-height: 18px !important; height: 1.3em !important;
}
after doing this, nothing happens.. I then realized the thread I got this from was from 2007...
since I am on version 91.4.0, how do I change background colors?
I have looked in the various menus for color options, but no joy...
Chosen solution
It's at the bottom of Preferences/General, or type editor in the search box.

Here is a css to change the background color of the Threads and Folder panes:
#folderTree, #threadTree { background-color: lightgrey !important; color: black !important; }
Help/More Troubleshooting, Profile Folder, Open Folder, close TB, create a new folder named chrome, create a new document in chrome with a text editor, name it userChrome.css, Save as type: All files *.*, copy in the above code, change the colors as desired. Double-click toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets to true in Preferences/General/Config. editor, restart TB.
The css file must be in the chrome subfolder of the profile folder.

I got the first part done but cannot find
Double-click toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets to true in Preferences/General/Config.
I find Preferences/General but nothing that says Config
