I gave hubby my Win 10 computer when I went to a Win 10 laptop. I signed in on his computer with his Firefox account and it synced all of my work bookmarks into his account. Crikey! How can two different computers with two different FF accounts sync automatically?? I tried everything including deleting user data for it then I formatted his hard drive and installed fresh Windows 10 and fresh FF and created a new login for him with new email address and it STILL synced to mine... all of my work project bookmarks are on his computer and his on mine. Mega blessings to whoever can help me fix this!

First, shut down the sync on both units.

Once the data has been synced, there is no way to undo it. You will need to go into each profile and manually remove what you don't want.

In the future, if you want to use another computer to access your sync data, you have two options.

1) Have the computer create a new user account. Then use that account. After you are done, you may want to remove that account.

2) http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition

https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox-portable-esr Mozilla Firefox ESR, Portable Edition

A fully functional package of Firefox optimized for use on a USB key drive. A specialized launcher will allow most favorite extensions to work as you switch computers.

You can use sync to share passwords, bookmarks, and history. Anything else may not be compatible between different browser versions or computer systems.

You can expect that if you connect a specific profile to more than one Firefox Account. When you connect to a Sync account then all data from this device is uploaded to the Sync server and merged to other connected devices with the result that all devices get the same data. You might be able to remove data loaded via Sync when you disconnect, but you should make a profile backup beforehand just to be sure.

You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page (Root directory).
