I just upgraded to version 96 (using Windows 10) and for some odd reason, the background of Youtube is now a dark gray or black. I want to get back to the normal white background. I tried changing with Fonts and Colors in settings, according to another user's complaint, but that didn't help. So tell me how to change it. Or tell me how to revert to the version before this. And how to not upgrade in the future if this kind of nonsense continues. I read some of the reasons why, but still, Mozilla should let users change things how they want it, not the techies.

You can change this pref on the about:config page from 3 to 2 to revert to the Firefox 94 behavior.

  • layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override
    Dark (0), light (1), system (2) or browser (3)

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.
