Is there a way to change the File Folder Favicon. I use my bookmark toolbar extensively. It is very handy. Because I have so many bookmarks in the toolbar I delete the labels whenever possible. But this is not possible for bookmark files since only the File icon is available. I have searched extensively and cannot find anything even close to helpful.

Do you wish to change the folder icon or the bookmark favicon? Each is possible with userChrome.css if you are willing to do that. (Note: remove blank space in link below.)

I was able to create userChrome.css in the right folder. But I haven't got a clue how to write the code required to change the icon. I am not a programmer. Can you help any further? Thanks.

Since posting, I have been made aware of an add-on which may help. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/cache-favicons-for-bookmarks/

There is a thread on the Reddit FirefoxCSS sub which may help. To copy the favicon, open page info on the site (ctl-i) and look at the Media tab. Again, remove the blank space in the link below. It may be moderated in any case. It refers to folders but you can adapt it. https://www.reddit. com/r/FirefoxCSS/comments/jyqtn6/how_to_set_a_custom_icon_for_each_bookmark_folder/

Ask on that sub (you'll have to register with Reddit) if you need help.
