Gmail folders in Thunderbird

Hello.

I have my Gmail setup in Thunderbird and everything is working well for the most part. I just have a question about the way the Gmail folders are shown in Thunderbird.

The Inbox is shown under the mail @gmail folder as I'd expect. But the other folders do not appear directly under it. Rather they're shown as "sub folders" under one called '[Gmail]'. Any idea why that is? See picture below. Thanks.

This tip may help if account is IMAP: At server settings for the account, click 'advanced' and for IMAP server directory, enter [Gmail]
