Hello! Since a month I have a strange problem - Firefox wont connect to any Google service - REcaptcha, google-analytics. Any site that uses these services would not load, or loads and waits until connection expires. I tried refreshing Firefox, the uninstalling and re-installing - the problem remains. I do not use any proxy or firewall on my computer. Opera and other browsers do not have this problem. Please, advice.

You will need to provide an example of the issue with links and screenshots. Did you try Firefox in Safe Mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#search104

Are you using a proxy or VPN?

You can check the connection settings.

  • Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet, try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":

Well, I tried in safe mode, tried connection settings - same thing. When I try to connect to any Google site, like photos.google.com or maps.google.com it just waits, waits, or loads only half of the page. The same page opens fine in Opera.

Go to Settings -> General -> Network and set your proxy settings to No proxy.

It was the first thing I checked before I came to ask for advice.

I do not use any proxy or firewall on my computer.

Any virus software?

I checked the computer for malware. Any website that call to googleanalycis causes Mozilla to stop and wait untill the link expires and it can continue.

What is the browser waiting for? When loading one of the sites with the issue, look in the bottom left corner and you should see what the browser is waiting for. Google Drive is an issue for me with their usercontent 3rd party cookies. What are your privacy settings? My privacy settings block all 3rd party and it breaks google drive, but if I change my privacy settings to standard, google drive works fine. see screenshots

Try OBS to get a video of the issue so that you can pause see what the browser is waiting for.

Hello! I finally figured out that when trying to connect to ANY google service (Captcha, YouTube, etc.) Firefox waits and then shows a message that there is no internet connection.

Yet, on any other browser it perfectly works.

It does it only with Google services and after a few refreshes it starts working. Let's say I open YouTube, it says there is no internet connection. I refresh 2-3 times and YouTube starts working, sometimes, howerer, does not load all thumbnails.

I tried refreshing Firefox, with no plugins, even deleted it, and reinstalled it, but does not seem to help. Any suggestions?

If you're experiencing issues with Firefox not connecting to Google services, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

Check your antivirus or firewall: Your antivirus or firewall may be blocking the connection to Google services. Try disabling your antivirus or firewall temporarily to see if that helps.

Clear your browser cache: Clearing your browser cache can sometimes help to resolve issues with websites not loading correctly. To clear your cache in Firefox, click on the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner of the browser window, select "Options," then select "Privacy & Security" from the left-hand menu. Under the "Cookies and Site Data" section, click on the "Clear Data" button and select "Cached Web Content." Then click "Clear" to confirm.

Disable add-ons: Add-ons can sometimes interfere with website functionality. Try disabling any add-ons you have installed and then reloading Google services to see if that helps.

Check your DNS settings: Your DNS settings may be causing the issue. Try changing your DNS settings to use a different server, such as Google's DNS server (8.8.8.8).

Reset Firefox: If none of the above steps help to resolve the issue, try resetting Firefox to its default settings. To do this, click on the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner of the browser window, select "Help," then select "Troubleshooting Information" from the menu. Click on the "Refresh Firefox" button and then click "Refresh Firefox" again to confirm.

If none of these steps help to resolve the issue, you may want to try contacting Google support or Firefox support for further assistance.

This could be a problem with the TLS 1.3 Early Data feature also known as Zero Round Trip Time Resumption (0rtt). You can try to set security.tls.enable_0rtt_data = false on the about:config page to disable this feature until this is fixed by Google or Mozilla to see if that helps.
