I can't paste text into my emails anymore. When I try the menu only says "Emoji." "Copy" & "cut" are grayed out.

I contacted microsoft. We ran tests and it's not them-pasting is no problem on Chrome & Edge. I want to keep using Firefox but I need to be able to paste text into emails! please help.

There has been another thread about this issue and there is also a bug report.

  • /questions/1404567 Cannot paste in outlook office 365 using firefox version 109.0.1
  • 1815733 - I cannot paste into an Outlook mail message (web version office 365) in firefox v109.0.1.

Did you try to paste using the keyboard (Ctrl+V or Shift+Insert) to see if that works ? Does it also fail if you paste text copied from Firefox ?

Any relevant-looking messages in the Web Console ?

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works, you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
