When I save new bookmarks I can't find them to open them. The list of folders I see in the "Choose . . ." selection is different from the list of folders l see when trying to open a bookmark. The bookmarks seem to be saving in one list but opening from a different list. How do I replace the list Firefox opens bookmarks from with the list the new bookmarks are saved in?

Chosen solution

You can drag the Bookmarks Menu button Bookmark Menu icon (star on tray) that shows the bookmarks in a drop-down list and drag the Library button that gives access to recent bookmarks and history from the Customize palette to the Navigation Toolbar. The Bookmarks Menu button has a "View bookmarks sidebar" menu item.

You might find it easier to bookmark by dragging the address directly into the bookmarks toolbar (Ctrl+Shift+B) or sidebar (Ctrl+B). You can use the padlock icon to drag the current address.

Thanks. I tried that and it worked. That's a good temporary workaround, even though it doesn't solve the original problem. It's a start.

Adding the bookmark icon to the tool bar shows my recent bookmarks. Thanks for the help.
