Hi. A previous thread was archived on this (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1418749) but it is still an issue in 115.12.2 (64-bit), macOS.

  1. Turn on Unified Folders.
  2. Mark the unified Inbox as a favorite. It appears in favorite folders.
  3. Restart Thunderbird.
  4. Other favorite folders still appear, but Inbox is gone. It is still marked as a favorite folder however.
  5. If you toggle the unified Inbox favorite on and off, it reappears.

Remember, the unified folder is not a folder, but a virtual assembly of other folders. As such, it is not stable, since the folders it represents are subject to being changed.

Understand. But it lets you mark a unified folder as a favorite, which makes sense. It should stick in the favorite folders view once you do this.
