Hi,

I have been having this issue with Firefow & Youtube for some weeks now.

What happens is that I launch a video, it plays well, but after 1 minute it stops. No buffering, no download of the next chunk of the video, nothing. It just stops. I have disabled all the addons I use and it changes nothing; in some cases, it stops the video from launching.

> Why this is not network related : on the same computer, at the same time, I can watch YT videos on Opera. Without issues. With uBlock origin enabled. And VPN. > Why I believe this is browser (ie. not computer) related : I have another computer, on the same network, that has the exact same issue. With less extensions, and no VPN. And again, when using Opera, YT works as intended, with uBlock origin.

There might be a setting related to video buffering to change, or something, I do not know. But this is beginning to be infuriating.

Is this a Google' crackdown on browsers not beging Chrome? Or am I an isolated case?

Thanks in advance !

You're not an isolated case for sure. People say that whitelisting "https://jnn-pa.googleapis.com" in uBlock Origin helps.

Thanks for your reply !

Unfortunately, when I try that, the video stops even earlier (I tried it right now, and i have 15 to 20seconds of video before the video stops).

And the video stops even when I disable my extensions, so no trafic is blocked.

Thanks for the links ! I have tried the things they mentioned, but it had no impact on my situation unfortunately.

I do not use a PiHole, nor do I use a custom DNS server. Firefox is set up to use the system's proxy configuration I do connect using a VPN on this computer, but YT on Opera works fine. On my other computer, no VPN at all and same issue.

My LAN is quite straightforward : my computers are connecting via WiFi into my ISP's router, and that's it. No custom shenanigans in terms of configuration there. No DNS changes in the VPN either, which would then impact all software using it (not using split tunneling).

Worst thing is, when I disable ublock origin and umatrix, after the ads, the video stops after ~20seconds of play. Not 1 minute, but 20 seconds.

Using F12(developer view?) and network tab gives me green status everywhere (when everything is disabled), but the video stops. When using the extensions, I obviously get red stuff, but video plays longer
