Why do the names of the previously saved bookmark folders get changed when I create a new bookmark folder?

When I create a new bookmark folder, and save it, it somehow changes the names of up to several bookmark folders! Also, while I am creating a new bookmark folder as a sub-folder, the main folder gets changed as I am trying to create the sub-folder.

Thank you Cor-el, for your response. I checked out the link that you posted, but it does not exactly answer my question. I am able to correct, or delete, the bookmark folders / files. I just have to catch the error when I am creating new bookmarks / go thru my library of bookmarks and hunt for folder name errors. It seems to rename the former folders with the same name of the newly created folder. Thanks again, and God Bless.
