Issue
I have a problem with my bookmarks, cookies, history or settings
Description
I changed my cookie settings so that Firefox asks me to accept each cookie. This turned out to be a big pain so i set it back to accept cookies. Google says my cookies are disabled when in fact they are enabled

Go to Help > Troubleshooting Information Click on Open Containing Folder Close Firefox. Delete the file cookies.sqlite
Did you check the exceptions? Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Exceptions"
You can also try to rename the file "permissions.sqlite" to permissions.sqlite.sav and delete hostperm.1 (if it exists, leftover from Firefox 2) in the Profile Folder to reset all exceptions (cookies, images, pop-ups).
Thanks for the response, still no google access. I tried it twice. Another issue I just noticed: under options privacy I cannot change the settings on Firefox will'. Every time I change to Remember history it treverts to the custom settings, BTW, on custom settings everything is checked
Try the How to fix preferences that won't save article.
And what you said worked from me. Thanks from Uruguay.
Yes I have had the same problem using firefox in ubuntu 9.04 even after upgrading to 3.6.8 using the mozilla build.
I have tried the cookies.sqlite removal etc and DNS flushing and have attempted using firefox in safe mode and it still does not work.
I fired up elinks text only browser and had no problems what so ever.
