Flash embedded videos won't start in 3.6.6

more options

Moving my mouse over flash animations or flash embedded movies results in the flash being reloaded. It's hard to explain. Basically, it reloads just the flash area every time I move my mouse over it. I know it's not very detailed but I just don't know how to explain it.

I've tried version 3.5.10 and it works fine. Version 3.6.6 is where I'm getting the issue.

I'm running Mac OSX.

Nothing? Ever since updating to 3.6.6 I have been having the same problem and no word from Mozilla or Adobe regarding this problem.

Stupid %^£*&£ Firefox crap! This update broke my system. Now I have to use Safari. Why release stuff that doesn't work and mess people around. I have spent 2 hours trying to sort this mess out. I'm so frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some as Yeak - black screen no video. OS X 10.6.4, Firefox 3.6.6, latest Flash.

Same as Yeak. Black screen where flash video should appear, but the sound plays. OS X 10.6.4, Firefox 3.6.6, latest Flash (version?).

Using Firefox 3.6.6 Firefox thinks flash is enabled & installed but when I go to any website that uses flash even the Mozilla Firefox site all I get is a F in a circle indicating that flash is necessary or occasionally a black screen but mostly just the F.

An F usually means that some extension is blocking the Flash.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes). See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems and Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears. You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions. You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Just a courtesy update. This Firefox 3.6.6 on my Mac OS X 10.6.4 mysteriously fixed itself since 3 or 4 days ago. Now it appears alright. I think it might be Adblocks Plus filter pattern update. Just a wild guess.

I am very frustrated that I see no solutions for this problem. It seems pretty widespread, yet no answers from Firefox. I've sworn by Firefox for the last few years. Now I am wondering...
