When I updated from 3.6.11 to 3.6.12 this morning on my Mac OS X 10.4.11, none of my bookmarks were imported.
When I tried to use the restore option, it wouldn't work. I downloaded another 3.6.12 version thinking it may have had a glitch. It also didn't have my bookmarks and wouldn't restore them. In desperation I copied an 3.6.3 version of Firefox from an older Mac onto the one I'm using and was able to restore the bookmarks. However, I have to restore the same file twice before all the bookmarks are restored. But when I try to organize the bookmarks, none of them show up in the Library window. And if I close Firefox and restart it, all the bookmarks are lost and I have to restore them again. Even new bookmarks that I add in are lost on restart. Any suggestions?

This issue can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Thanks, cor-el! I usually depend on tech support to fix an issue like this but your post directed me to a web page that explained clearly and simply how to reset the bookmark functions. When I restart, all my bookmarks are still there and I've able to save and organize new bookmarks!
