Hi,
Is it possible to recover & restore my old Firefox Bookmarks after a clean Windows Re-Install - from the Firefox files in its program folder that had actually been saved in a drive different from that of Windows and escaped deletion during Windows re-install ?
I recently reformatted my C: drive & reinstalled Windows. I was unable to back-up my absolutely critical Firefox bookmarks (and other firefox settings and add-ons, etc) before reinstalling Windows. I was unable to boot the comp properly before reinstalling Windows, so I had to format the boot drive (C:) & clean install Windows again - which ensured the deletion of everything that was on C:. But my Firefox was installed on E: and not C: (boot drive) - so the Firefox program files did not get deleted and remain in its program folder as they were. Now I have downloaded and installed Firefox again - but I don't have my earlier bookmarks which I need DESPERATELY !!!
I was wondering, if it is possible by any means to recover/reconstruct/restore my old bookmarks from the Firefox program files left from the previous installation as mentioned above ??
I would be enormously grateful if anybody can help...
Regards
Monmajhi

Firefox does not store the bookmarks in the programs folder, it stores them in the profile folder. If you re-formatted the C drive, you will almost certainly have lost you bookmarks, as the profile folder is normally on that drive inside this folder - C:\Documents and Settings\<Windows user name>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
