Firefox always starts in private browsing mode, no matter what I check in the options box.

Everytime I disable private browsing, the next time it starts it is still in private browsing mode. I'd really like to disable it--it's a pain to type in addresses all the time. This is a new downloaded version of Firefox--I uninstalled the old one and reinstalled a new.

Right-click the shortcut for Firefox and look at the Target line and see if it has -private at the end of that line.

Thanks for your quick response, but this isn't the answer. There is nothing in the target line that says private. Any other ideas?
