I use Norton AntiVirus and run scans daily. That program shows no security threats, but the Mozilla alert poppped up showing +90 viruses. I'm skeptical and leery of downloading the "Security Defender" file.

Mozilla doesn't do security alerts, that is a scam. They're trying to get naive users to install Malware that will screw up the users PC.

Please don't fell for it and also use Report Web Forgery… so others are warned about the scam in the future.
