How do I open bookmarks in a new tab without opening the whole folder in new tabs?

I used to be able to open a single bookmark in a new tab. Now I can only open a whole folder of bookmarks in tabs with "Open all in tabs". The option to open single bookmarks in a new tab or window is greyed out.

The only way I can figure to open a bookmark without losing the page I'm on is to either find a link to open in a new tab or open a blank tab which is a lot more steps. How do I fix the new "feature" so it works?

Chosen solution

You can middle click or hold down Ctrl and left click a bookmark (like other links) to open the bookmark in a new tab.

That doesn't fix the problem which seems to be more of a bug, but that's a great solution. In fact I think I like that more than right clicking. Thanks.
