Even though I have Firefox set to display my homepage when I run the application, it still shows displays the windows and tabs I had open when I last exited; how do I fix this?

I have Firefox set to display my homepage each time I open it. For some reason it doesn't do that; instead it displays the windows and tabs I had open the last time I closed the application. How can I fix this?

Make sure that Firefox closes properly.
