bookmarks new folder, make a new folder and it never ever appears, have done this 10 times, please bring back firefox 3.6 as it worked then
since ff4 i can no longer make a new folder in bookmarks, now my bookmarks are huge and cannot be sorted, why oh why did ff get shot of 3.6 without ensuring ff4 would work properly. perhaps ie8/9 would be a better bet as there bookmarks work properly, ff4 was supposed to have been beta tested but obviously no one tested the bookmarks eh, or am i alone in this problem

I never use the bookmarks menu drop down down myself, if you are having major problems with it though, expect you might try

and the reason that I would never ever consider the bookmarking in other browsers is that Firefox has keyword shortcuts. Opera has something similar aliases and separately with search keywords but even combining the two does not have the same abilities and ease of use. IE doesn't have it.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
