My Firefox is not opening anymore and crashes the windows Vista.

Message: Script: chrome/google-toolbar-lib/content/toolbar.js2084

It was running fine for long with the add on overriding toolbar for google in the Firefox 5+ version. Now computer locks completely whenever I want to open the browser. Re installation, or resetting the windows system to earlier date does not help. Very frustrating as I had to move to Chrome now to get any browser access.

Cant even uninstall add on's at Firefox as computer crashes totally by any attempt to open browser, regardless of version (re installed and uninstalled 5, 6 and 7 beta again and again). I don't need Google toolbar (was helpful for translations) anymore but want my Firefox back.

Can anybody help, Thanks!

Thanks so much for the great link. Its good to have and I went through all the options including save mode (did not work) and than disabling certain and than all functions from Shift start up. Still no help. Spent 4+ hour with no luck.

Now I removed the Firefox with all the extensions, bookmarks etc, deleted all folders in the remaining file and started from scratch with 6.01. It comes up and I have now to customize it again. Luckily I had a bookmark back up. But at least it works again!
