Sorry not much advice to provide at present, other than to keep your eye on the articles

The normal advice would include to upgrade from Firefox 9 to Firefox 10, but at the moment Firefox 10 itself is having problems.

Your crash

  • Report Crash ID [02cca6f5-005e-47fe-901f-99a202120207]
    • Signature: nsRefPtr<nsPresContext>::~nsRefPtr<nsPresContext>() | nsThread::Dispatch(nsIRunnable*, unsigned int)
    • related bug 716386

Background Info
Firefox seems to be having problems with startup crashes. Some in Firefox 10 were initially thought to be due to malware, but now the developers are unsure. Your crash appears to be a relatively new one, and only affecting Windows and Firefox 9 (or beta versions of Firefox10).

This sort of problem will be investigated as a priority, as I see it caused over 12000 crashes over the last week.

One way of getting a working Firefox browser is to install Firefox poratble 3.6 as an additional browser. Firefox 3.6 is still supported and secure, and is probably unlikely to suffer problems with crashes.

Note, if you do report crashes by submitting crash reports your data is useful to the developers working on problems, and in some instances there is a possibility you may be emailed by them, it would help if you reply to any such emails, if you have doubts about them being genuine ask on the forum.

General advice

General info on crashes is article : firefox crashes and if it is not actually a crash look at firefox hangs

Note one recent crash was solved by updating Java, and the general advice included in the above article includes updating firefox extensions and plugins.
