Search for emails from a given address
When I enter a name in the Thunderbird Search window, it can give me the email addresses of the person named. I then select one and it automatically lists every email in the selected folder that anyone sent concerning that person (address). I only want either the emails from or to (selectable) for the email address listed. I get too many unrelated emails when I search and toggle contacts. I only want the basic search function which Thunderbird does not seem to have. How do I search only received emails FROM the person (email address) I selected, if possible? I have found no combination of top level and quick filters that seem to work. This is a basic search every email system should have. I don't want to ever see everybody's email that was sent to or mentioned the selected email address unless I select that as a search parameter. All your SEARCH item help seems to discuss web searches which is useless to me in Thunderbird for use or troubleshooting.
