My email contacts no longer load after updating to Firefox Betal Why? I don't believe the problem is with the Yahoo service as contacts would load before.
The Firefox version that is not beta loads contacts on my PC with no problem. I was having no problem with contacts loading on my Apple until I uploaded the Firefox beta version. I have over 400 contacts but the moment I try to use one I get a message saying this is an unexpected error and then a message that says I have no contacts.

There is no version of Firefox currently known as Betal. I would suggest checking to make sure your plugins are up to date. Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the Mozilla Plugin Check site.
Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions. If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow Update button or a red Update now button, please update these immediately.
To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.
I have version Firefox 13.0.1 installed. Plug ins are up to date.
I'm not a user of Yahoo Mail beyond that I can't really do much for you. I think that Yahoo may use Flash in there mail interface. Have you review the following?Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox 13 are most probably caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and/or a malfunctioning Real Player browser plugin.
In order to remedy the problem, please perform the steps mentioned in these Knowledge Base articles:
Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems
Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again
Flash 11.3 doesn't load video in Firefox

This morning I uninstalled Firefox. Problem solved. Safari works fine for email contacts once again. Would love to know what the glitch is with Firefox. Am reluctant to reinstall it for future use on my Mac.
