Install latest version & try to start Firefox the Mozilla Crash Reporter appears. I never get the Firefox window. Uninstalled, reinstalled, same problem. Uninstalled, installed 3.6 - works. Uninstall 3.6, reinstall 15.0.1 - still crashes at start.

How can I do this if I never get the Firefox window?

You can use one of these to start Firefox in Safe mode:

  • On Windows, hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox with a double-click on the Firefox desktop shortcut
  • On Mac, hold down the Options key while starting Firefox
  • Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

You can also try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that works.
