Some websites don't render fonts properly
Maybe this has asked before, I already checked some older posts, but didn't find exactly the same type of font rendering I have.
The thing is that on some websites (some only, and rarely) I get these funny looking fonts, they are not like symbols or just gibberish, it can be read and understood like normal characters but I perfectly know something is not right, I will post 2 screenshots for you to see:

So my thoughts are that I'm probably missing some font or misconfigured setting. I have tried disabling the "Allow websites choose their own fonts..." settings with success, but I do want to leave that option enabled, so what to do?
NOTE: I am on Debian Linux using latest firefox from official website.
Thanks
Joe

TATA.ttf was the culprit (short for Times and Times Again)
Thank you again cor-el, I was going nuts with this issue....

You can use this extension to see which fonts are used for text that is selected (right-click context menu: Show fonts in selection).
You can do a font test to see if you can identify corrupted font(s).
Thank you cor-el I found the corrupted font which is called Times, what to do now? Should I delete it from system, I also have Times New Roman installed but it works fine.
Ok, I think I found the answer, if it helps someone else, the response from the other guy is what made me laugh ;)

Are you sure that that is Times font?
You can check that font in FontForge to see if any problems are reported.
You can remove that font if it is corrupted and you do do use it otherwise or need it.
Yes, I'm sure it's corrupted, it belongs to a pack I manually installed of a collection I have, just opened it also in font browser and renders exactly the same as in website, with the firefox extension you pointed me to it is named exactly the same as the other guy says in the other post "Times and Times again".
I have fontforge installed also and did get an error message when opening that specific font, let me remove it and update my font cache and will post right back my results.
