How can I undo settings changed from an addon?

I've been using the Tab Utilities addon for a while, since Firefox changed opening a new tab from opening it at the end of the tab order to next to the current tab. As of late, I decided I wanted to stop that and revert to the Firefox default, but I noticed that Tab Utilities is not compatible with FF 21.0. So now I can't go in to change the behavior and I can't seem to find another addon that can help. And now I have no idea how to undo the change, and can't find which setting in the config will work.

That the pref isn't working as it should can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.
