I can't stream a movie from Amazon. I keep getting "error 6003". What does this mean?

I bought my first movie from Amazon after buying a kindle. I was able to watch it on the kindle but when I try to watch in on my computer, I get a message saying "video stopped. error 6003.". I thought it might be my Adobe flash player so I installed the latest version. Tried again. Same problem.

Try to disable all plugins except Flash to see if that helps.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.
