Import bookmarks from another hard disk

My laptop crashed. I removed the hard disk and connected it with my pc thrue usb. My laptop used windows vista en my pc uses xp. I want to move my bookmarks from the hard disk to my pc. The bookmars are located here:K:\Users\ibmuser\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\rmnvgvis.default\bookmarkbackups

I tried to copy paste the JSON files into the mozilla bookmarkbackups folder, but had no succes.

Good work so far. Firefox won't restore the backup from that folder automatically. You can trigger a restore using the method described in this article: Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer.

You need to delete the places.sqlite file in the profile folder to make Firefox rebuild the bookmarks automatically from a JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
Otherwise you need to restore the bookmarks manually in the Bookmarks Manager (Library).
