Why cannot I remove this programme from my browser SoftCOup 3.12 true fpqux8q@exxdhsk.org. It makes the screen jump around

The screens jump around so that ads can appear, when I hide the ads the screen still jumps around until the blank part appears. If I go from screen to screen within a site it appears on every screen. The only screen it does not appear on is my gmail! I have tried in vain to uninstall SoftCoup to no avail

Hi,

You can remove Extensions by going to The image "new fx menu" does not exist. > Add-ons > Extensions. It also appears that you have more than one weird extension

  • leuss2paY
  • SoftCOup
  • ImAAgeCuoNvvertoErr
  • FlasshaCoouPon
  • ddeal2diealit

Another thing that COULD be adding to this is the user.js file

it looks like user.js is currently active in Firefox. The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be there.

You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release. You can get to the profile folder below:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory > Show Folder

or

  • Go to about:support and click Show Folder next to Profile Directory.

Thank you, it would appear that now I have removed the extensions the ad bar no longer appears. One problem still remaining is the small green squared outline with a green arrow coming out of its top right hand corner is still there and when the mouse passes over it an advert pops up. Do you know how I can remove this too?

Once again Moses you have helped me. I have just found the .js file you were talking about and disabled it and now the green figure no longer appears! If either should re-appear then I will know how to deal with them in the future. Thank you Thank you
