on june 5 yahoo stopped support for one of their types of mail and or browsers. everything appeared the same for me except not receiving images in emails.i read one item for firefox that said to go to options then advanced then settings in order to look for multimedia then to show pictures checkbox .i never even found settings under advanced. when i did equivalent on internet explorer the icon was already checked to receive images, so the problem appears to be with the new switch/support change.

Yahoo is still showing images in emails - both inline and attached. I notice you're still using the obsolete Windows XP. Couldn't that be contributing to your problem?
