The fix for me was to update to the latest version of Citrix Receiver (4.1.0.56461) and then change the plugin settings for Citrix in the about:addons sections from "ask to activate" to "always activate". All working again for me now :)

If you are using Firefox 30.0 and citrix is not working in browser type (about:addons) then go to plugins and change citrix to Always active that will fix it for a mac

The browser plugin and the downloadable "Receiver", from Citrix.com, are not related - setting the plugin to "Always", should be all that is needed. The browser plugin is installed and updated from within the mycitrix.yourcompany.com, webpage/dialog, and is detected, long before you click an app to launch it..
