Hello everyone,

It's been several days now that I've tried to fix a hanging issue that only occurs on http://schallcreative.com. It started since we upgraded to Firefox 31.0. We are also running on Mac systems with Mavericks OSX 10.9.4. If we downgrade to Firefox 30.0 or 29.0, the website appears without any issues.

A little bit about the website itself, it runs on a Wordpress platform. It's a hybrid one pager with SVG animation, blog and individual pages to highlight past work. There is also some simple custom Javascript applied to it as well.

What have I done?

Disabled Firefox Plugins Disabled Firefox Extensions Uninstalled and Installed Firefox Restarted Computer Updated jQuery Updated Wordpress Disabled Wordpress Plugins Deleted Unused Wordpress Plugins

Once I attempt to open http://schallcreative.com, it hangs, the cursor turns into the rainbow wheel soon after and then I wait. I've left it hanging up to 10 minutes and it won't crash. All it does is hang. Eventually I have to go to the dock and force quit the app and soon after I get an "Ignore" or "Report" option. Usually I'll hit report and I get a run down on the machine. If I open Google, Vimeo, YouTube, other client websites, they all open just fine.

We are Mozilla fans here and I hope someone can help me with this issue. I hope also that this may help other future issues.

Much appreciated before hand and I look forward to hearing feedback. Fred

Hello fredschall, any luck if you clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu, choose History, and then Clear Recent History....
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

Thank you.

EDIT : Probably not, as you said if you downgrade you are without issues. My mistake. Forget it.
