Thunderbird can't remember my profiles
Thunderbird is giving me a very strange problem, When I try to load it, I am given the following Error message:
"Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible."
I can fix this and get Thunderbird to load by opening the profile manager and recreating my profile. HOWEVER, once I am done and close Thunderbird, the problem comes back as soon as I open Thunderbird again. Even if I reopen it immediately after closing it.
In other words, Thunderbird can't seem to remember that I have in fact made a working profile, and forgets as soon as it's closed. forcing me to go to the profile manager and recreate it every time I wish to use Thunderbird. Is there any way to fix this?

Deleting profiles.ini caused Thunderbird to open normally, from there I was able to create a profile that Thunderbird now properly remembers when I close and reopen it.

for reference, since I forgot to add it, and can't seem to edit the above post. I'm on windows 7, 32 bit.

How exactly are you starting Thunderbird? Do you point it to a particular profile?
recreating my profile
You can create a new profile, or point TB to an existing profile. What do you mean with 'recreating my profile'?
What's in your profiles.ini?
I open Thunderbird from my start menu, where it is set as my default email program.
When I recreate my profile, I go into the profile manage, delete the old profile, and create a brand new profile. from there, I can create this new profile form scratch or point it to the folder of a previously made profile. both options work and will allow me to open Thunderbird and use it normally, HOWEVER, Thunderbird will still go back to the error mentioned above when closed.
This recreated profile is the only one given to Thunderbird, and Thunderbird set to use that profile by default without asking.
My profiles.ini however, seem to be point to the wrong profile, I think I can fix that, i'll post again in a moment with how that works out.
