Why does the following web page keep popping up in my Firefox browser: chrome://thefoxonlybetter/content/whatsnew.xhtml ?

While using Firefox a new window suddenly opens with this URL: chrome://thefoxonlybetter/content/whatsnew.xhtml

I'd like to know where this comes from and how to stop it.

Thank you

Your More System Details does show an extension named "The Fox, Only Better" (which I have not heard of before, but found here: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/ad.../the-fox-only-better/).

Often when an extension updates, it displays release notes about the update. Normally, this only happens once.

Some extensions have settings dialogs that let you control their behavior. You can check on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then find that one and look for an Options button. Or, if it is uncontrollable, you might want to disable or remove it.

Any luck?

It surprised me that it would just pop-up without any prompt. Thanks for your help!
