When I "bookmark all tabs" into a bookmark folder, the webpage URLs are used rather than the wepage TITLES and for me this causes a problem.
Using Firefox 34.0 on Ubuntu.
To expand on my particular problem, I use this feature exclusively for going over many days of TV/radio demand services, opening all of them in different tabs, and then at the end 'bookmark all tabs', and store them in a bookmarks folder.
The bookmarks are all displayed as URLs rather than webpage titles. Most of the TV/radio sites I look at have meaningless URLs (the titles are meaningful) so when I look in the folder I cannot quickly browse by bookmarks, I have to open every one individually to see what it is.
THis is different behaviour when I individually bookmark single pages and store it on the bookmark toolbar or other folder. Then the webpage title is displayed, which is the desired behaviour.

Firefox 34 on WinXP, the Page Title saves as expected when using Bookmark All Tabs for me.
Try the Firefox Safe Mode and see how it is.
Not what you are looking for, but
Send Tab URLs {web link} Send a list of browser tab URLs to email, Web mail, or the clipboard

Hello and thanks for your repsonse. I tried Safe Mode and experienced the same behaviour. Thanks for the suggestion though.
For me this behaviour is a big inconvenience so unless I can find a solution I'll switch to an alternative browser. I'll try the 'Submit Feedback' on the Help menu in case that leads to any other suggestion.
I see the URL if I haven't visited the tab in the current session and the tab hasn't loaded yet.
- browser.sessionstore.restore_on_demand
- browser.sessionstore.restore_pinned_tabs_on_demand

Hi and thanks for your reply. However, I get URLs instead of names even if I've visted the tabs and they've loaded.
So no solution for me yet. But your reply has opened up the murky world of Mozilla preferences, and by searching (on google) for bookmark preferences I've found someone on Mozillazine forums with a similar issue to mine (I didn't notice this alternative source of help when I was registering for the standard mozilla support)
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2438357&sid=4cb...
Unfortunately, this mozillazine thread doesn't end in a solution. I've done some brief and unadvised fiddling of preferences without success. I am just adding this info here in case anyone else has this issue and wants to experiment themselves. Perhaps I will repost my problem in Mozillazine explicitly.
thanks again

The thread that you cited at the MozillaZine fora is from 2012 and the OP was using Firefox 10.0.2 - plus he was talking about a huge numbers tabs that he was trying to bookmark. Too many versions between Firefox 10 and 34 to strike a comparison of what works and what doesn't.
The OP there said that 60 tabs saved OK, but 1000 didn't = an extreme edgecase, IMO. Firefox isn't designed or tested around such "edgecases".
How many tabs are you trying to bookmark?

Yes what you say is correct. I'm bookmarking only 10-20 tabs and none of them save OK. I only mentioned it because it's the one and only mention of a similar (not identical) issue to mine that I've been able to find on the web. And given that no solution was found there (for that extreme example), I agree it's of limited use to even mention it.
Since you are running the Ubuntu build of Firefox 64-bit, I wonder if the official Mozilla Linux 64-bit build of Firefox does that, too.
I'm not sure exactly what cor-el used when he tested this "bookmark all tabs" feature. iirc he does run Linux with the Mozilla Firefox build.
