I have a gmail count but i am viewing the IMAP server in Thunderbird. If I delete a message in the web interface of gmail it deletes it in the thunderbird account that i am looking at, as well as the other way. I can see my synchronized files in my /profiles/xxx.default/ImapMail/imap.googlemail.com/ folder, but i don't think these are the files I am looking at in Thunderbird.

I don't quite understand what the question is.

This: "I have a gmail count but i am viewing the IMAP server in Thunderbird. If I delete a message in the web interface of gmail it deletes it in the thunderbird account that i am looking at, as well as the other way." is entirely correct and normal.
