Hi Ted,

Unfortunately importing from Outlook is broken at present. The team are hoping to fix the issue in a future version of Thunderbird.

I think this problem came about due to some major under-the-hood changes in Thunderbird 38. One workaround might be to temporarily downgrade to Thunderbird 31 (you'll find a download here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/releases/ ), import the PST from Outlook, and then upgrade to Thunderbird 38. If you have any other accounts set up in Thunderbird, it would a good idea to back up your profile using these instructions before trying this: Profiles - Where Thunderbird stores your messages and other user data

Alternatively, and more straightforwardly, your email provider probably offer IMAP and SMTP servers. You can use these to set Thunderbird up and access your email, without importing from Outlook. Here's how: Manual Account Configuration

This should mean you can access all your emails in Thunderbird, but possibly not any saved draft emails or your contacts.

Let us know if either of these work!
