I do not. Do Not. DO NOT want to have to click a button on the toolbar to pull up my bookmark sidebar every bloody time I open my browser. Why did you change that option? I want to be able to set my preferences to have the bookmark sidebar (or history) to ALWAYS be present, unless I deliberately CLOSE it (which I may rarely do). I want the DEFAULT for my browser to have the bookmark sidebar ALWAYS ON.

I just downloaded and installed the newest firefox and my sidebars have to be deliberately pulled up EVERY time and there seems to be no way to set my 'view' to be the way I want it, and have always had it in the past.

I don't like it. I want the option available to have the sidebar ALWAYS ON, just like I have the option to set my own homepage.

{ Ctrl + B } opens and closes the Bookmarks Sidebar. Once it is open, is is supposed to remain open even when closing and re-opening Firefox. If your Firefox installation doesn't work like that do the Firefox SafeMode troubleshooting procedure.
