Hi we use software that is based on JAVA for our clients to access our services. As I read in some news NPAPI plugin support will be terminated in the 64 bit version of firefox 41 (so java wont be supported anymore). Does this only concern the windows 64bit version or are Linux and Mac also targeted? We need this information so that we can tell our clients which browsers we still support. Thanks in advance

Only the Win64 Firefox starting at 41.0+ version will only have 64-bit Flash Player whitelisted for time being.

The 64-bit Mac OSX and Linux builds can still continue to use any other compatible 64-bit Plugins besides Flash Player.

As said Firefox 42.0 is the current target for Win64 Release as it was 41.0 previously. The Win64 Fx 41.0b# builds on Beta channel will be affected by whitelist.

hi, this information only applies to windows 64bit versions of firefox (it looks like firefox 42 will be the first release, which provides a win64 variant of the browser) - regular firefox 32bit versions on windows will continue to support npapi plugins other than flash as well...
