Emails previously backed up as Imapmail are not visible after importing to Thunderbird, though I see all the associated folders.

Few years ago when I used Thunderbird as my email manager, I backed up my emails as Imapmail and saved them in a hard-drive. The Imapmail folder size is about 2 GB. Recently I needed some of them, so I installed Thunderbird in my Windows 8 and imported the Imapmail folder. However, under the "local folders" though I see all my email sub-folders, but they are all empty (0 KB) and I can not see any of my emails.
