I have been using the Fireshot add-on for years with Firefox. Why has it stopped being supported???

"Fireshot could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled"

Firefox has allowed this add-on for years. Was it not trusted all along??

I don't know how to contact the vendor to see if they can sign the add-on.

Please give me a solution to this problem other than contacting the vendor.

Thank you,

Pete

Hi, you can try this: Type about:config into the address bar, press Enter, accept the warning, scroll down to xpinstall.signatures.required and double click to change 'Value' from True to False. This won't work forever, but currently it is expected to until Firefox 46 - scheduled for release 19th April. In the meantime I suggest you send feedback to the developer.

See the right-hand side panel of the add-on site for developer support.

Also see - Add-on signing in Firefox.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.
