I'm transfering from Chrome to Firefox but need to transfer all my passwords.

I've recently made the transfer from Chrome to Firefox and have been able move all my bookmarks. However, I need to transfer all my passwords as I have a lot but not sure how to do this. Can anyone explain how I can transfer all my passwords over?

Hmm, Firefox 42 and later should be able to import your Chrome passwords. Did you try it this way:

  • Open Firefox's Library dialog using Ctrl+Shift+b or Ctrl+Shift+h (shortcuts for "Show All Bookmarks" and "Show All History", respectively)
  • On the Import and Backup menu select "Import Data from Another Browser"
  • Select Chrome and click Next
  • Select desired data categories

Screen shots attached for reference.

Note: I didn't test it because I haven't saved any passwords in Chrome myself.
