No other symptoms, TBird works fine all the rest of the time, it is just the Windows 10 restart that causes subscribed newsgroups to be forgotten so I have to reselect them and download articles again.

I have been using TB for years on a Win7 machine and never seen this problem. I only use TB for newsgroups, not for email or anything else and I think it's great.

And you stopped thunderbird before windows 10 shutdown? It doesn't appear in Windows taskmanger before win10 shutdown?

No, this was an unscheduled Win 10 power down because my adorable grandson had turned off the power without my noticing :/

I have just done a normal restart after stopping TB without any problems.
