DirectionsAce highjacked homepage, and keeps coming back.
The first time DirectionsAce crap highjacked homepage, I got rid of it by restoring computer to an earlier time. This time that does not work. How do I get rid of this low life despicable intrusion? I don't want to download some other program that claims to work that might be as bad or worse than the DirectionsAce.

Start with this - http://it-help.info/how-to/toolbars/1268-how-to-remove-directionsace-effectively - to get rid of that garbage which is installed Windows. Skip that and it's liable to re-install itself the next time Windows is booted.
Then when it comes to using a "Removal Tool" - don't use the one recommended there. You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software, which is what we here at SuMO recommend.
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller
- AdwCleaner (for more info, see this alternate AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus built-in already.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
There are a couple of articles I have come across that although slightly dated have specific instructions, for directionsace removal and use only free and reputable tools
